December holidays are here and you we to entertain our children for a whole month. Children seek one-on-one time with Mommy or Daddy and holidays are the best time to just switch off the TV, computer or your cell phone and give full attention to your little one. This will help them to build a strong relationship with you and fill up their “love jug” to such an extent that you might even have one or two days without a temper tantrum.
Messy play and craft activities are good to use as the whole family can participate. These activities can feel like a lot of work and be stressful to adults, but your child will benefit from it in the following ways:
Remember, nothing should be perfect. It might look like they are making mess, but they are taking part in a learning experience
Here is how we did our craft:
What we used:
Let your little one step onto the paint and then onto a piece of white card. You may need to help them with this as it may get messy.
Once the paint is dry put all the items onto a table ready for your child to make his reindeer. Depending on the age of your little one you may need to help them.
Glue and place the nose. Add some glitter stars for fun.
And there you have it. Your reindeer footprints. It may not be the neatest reindeer you have seen but it sure was fun.
The best gift to give Grandma and Grandpa, a homemade picture from their grandchild. You can even make lots of footprints on the page and use the page as gift wrapping.
Just remember do not take the fun away, nothing should be perfect.
We hope you enjoyed reading this as much as we enjoyed putting it together. We love to hear from you- leave a comment below or pop us an email if you have any questions or ideas to add.
